Notre Dame Quarterback Demetrius Jones: Not Boarding Team Bus and Who Cares?

Notre Dame quarterback Demetrius Jones did not board a bus departing for the trip to Michigan, Coach Charlie Weis said in a statement Friday.

Why would anyone care which quarterback the Irish chose to lose with. Clausen, Jones, Sharpley it does not matter. The Fighting Irish will not score an offensive touchdown.

Iowa High-School Football: Plagued by The Shocker

Click to EnlargeThere appears to be a real problem with obscene hand gestures in high-school-football pictures in Iowa. So much so that there were three news articles in the Omaha World-Herald in just over a week. In the small Iowa towns of Harlan (pop. 5,282) and Carroll (pop. 10,106) there have been a number of problems with football players displaying “the Shocker” during team photographs. Jonathan Lee Riches© v. International Olympic Committee, et al

For those uninitiated, Jonathan Lee Riches© (he asserts his names is copyrighted) he is an inmate at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Williamsburg, SC with a penchant for litigation. His many lawsuits include: Michael Vick, Barry Bonds, Don Imus, Wal-Mart, President Bush, The World Wide Web, Williams Sisters, 50 Cent, Iron Mike Tyson, Jeff Gordon, and LeBron James.

The latest lawsuit from the JLR is, Jonathan Lee Riches© A/K/A “Marathon Jon” v. International Olympic Committee “IOC”; U.S. Olympic Committee “USOC”; 2008 Beijing Olympics, The Special Olympics; U.S. Anti-Doping Agency; Lance Armstrong d/b/a Tour De France Cycling Champion. The complaint is entitled “Discrimination of my Talents.” The JLR is asking for “$822,000,694.08 million.”

West Virginia Football Heisman Race: Devine Over Slaton and White

Steve Slaton and Pat White may not even be the best players in West Virginia’s backfield. Not to take anything away from those two player, they are fantastic, and both will be playing on Sunday. But, Noel Devine is amazing.

This guy runs like Barry Sanders. Devine is obviously not a featured back, because of Slaton’s talent. But, it will be great to watch this guy play in the future. He will be a Heisman front runner in 2008. Continue reading
