Mr. Gore was apparently so concerned about climate change, specifically ACC, and the impact that his compound may have on it that he embarked on an ambitious plan to reduce the carbon footprint of his palatial estate. Extensive greening was conducted. The result:
the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.
Even after all the environmental measures taken by the Gores their,
home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.
The Gore family should consider purchasing carbon offsets. One can only hope that they benefit from said purchases.
By way of comparison, President Bush’s home in Crawford, Texas is a “model of environmental rectitude.”
