If you work for a private university and want to maximize your earning potential, you either need to dominate the gridiron or epidermis.  USC Trojan coach Pete Carroll tops the list of private university employees earning an estimated $4,415,714 in 2007.  A close second is a dermatologist at Columbia University, Dr. David N Silvers, who received $4,332,759.

New HBO Show: Eastbound & Down

The new HBO Eastbound & Down show stars Danny McBride as Kenny Powers, a 35-year-old ex MLB pitcher who is forced to return to his home town to be a P.E. teacher.  The story is exactly what you would expect if John Rocker was forced to go back to his home town.

The show’s executive producers are Will Ferrel and Adam McKay.  The men from funny or Die who brought you Pearl in The Landlord and Good Cop, Baby Cop.

The show is great, at least the first episode was.  To give you an idea, Kenny Powers’s motto is “You’re F**Kin’ Out, I’m F**kin’ In!”  What more could one ask for?

USC Football Recruiting: USC Finishes National Signing Day At No. 3

At the end of National Signing Day 2009, USC finishes the day ranked No. 3 by rivals.com.  The Trojans finished just behind Alabama and LSU.  SC had the 2nd highest average recruit ranking with a 3.9, bested only by Florida with a 3.94.

The Trojans did lose out to Notre Dame when Manti Te’o became a Domer.

The Men of Troy did land the No. 1 quarterback Matt Barkley.

USC Football Recruiting: Linebacker Frankie Telfort Will Be A Trojan

The OC Register’s USC BLOG is predicting outside linebacker Frankie Telfort will sign with USC.  The #3 OLB out of Miami, Fl will make his announcement tomorrow. 

He may be joining Manti Te’o at linebacker for the Men of Troy.

Scott Wolf, of inside usc, is predicting that inside linebacker Manti Te’o will sign with USC.

Update:  This again demonstrates the pathetic divinatory here at Dreadnaught.  Manti Te’o will join one of the top ten college football programs of all time: Notre Dame. 

On the down side, he will also be have to endure the most loathsome coach in college football: Charlie Weis.
